Fisher (2022) strongly suggested “psychologists should always consider whether the particular nature of a professional relationship might lead to a client’s/patient’s misperceptions regarding an encounter. If so, it is advisable to keep a record of such encounters and discuss them with the client/patient when clinically indicated” (p. 291).
