Part 1 – Chapter 6:

Compare how the US treats the elderly with how another country treats the elderly. 

Use examples from media, articles, laws/policies, news outlets, etc. to support your analyses. 

Which do you think is more beneficial to society? Use the theoretical perspectives explained in your textbook to demonstrate your opinion.

Part 2 – Chapter 10:

Sociologist Arlie Hochschild studied American Families in several ethnographies to understand how women working full-time with children under 6 years old separate their roles in the household. I highly recommend reading her book – The Second Shift – but for now, you can research articles and videos on her findings.
