In this case the nurse should first calm the patient down and respond by asauring her that she will help her. She would then get the detaila of the dose of drug the patient has taken. Moreover, she should inform the patient that use of this drug in small dose during pregnancy will not harm the child. The nurse should inform the client that use of this drug during pregnancy in supervision of her physician is not harmful and she should not worry regarding it. Hence, effective communication and compassionate care in this case would be adequate for fhe nurses’response.
