12557Flyer Mock-up: Create a mock-up of your flyer using Adobe Illustrator. Your mock-up flyer must be aligned with both the client’s intended message and your target audience research. Refer to the Design Specifications document located in the Supporting Materials section to inform your design.

Create a mock-up of your flyer that includes the following components:
Place all of the copy from the Design Specifications document.
Include one image.
Apply typography and a color palette.

Project Two Template (Design Brief, Proposal, and Justification)
Submit the completed Project Two Template. Cite your sources according to MLA style. For this course, you will use a combination of public domain, openly licensed, and copyrighted images. You are responsible for avoiding copyright infringement by attributing these images according to established copyright guidelines. See the Openly Licensed Images area of your course for details. Submit your completed document as a PDF file.

Note: A best practice for including text in an InDesign document is to first create the text in Microsoft Word so you can check for grammar and spelling errors. Once finalized, the text can be copied and pasted into InDesign.

Submit an 8 ½” x 11” flyer created in Adobe Illustrator, exported as a PDF file for submission. Refer to the Openly Licensed Images area of the course for more information on how to provide image attribution.

Note: A best practice for a flyer of this size is to use Arial or Calibri 8-point font for the attribution and to place it in a textbox at the bottom of the flyer.

Your mood board is off to a good start. I’m good with your color palette, but you could certainly integrate more of the “vibrancy” you mentioned in your palette. Additionally, the fonts you chose are way too similar to create enough sense of hierarchy in the design (headlines and body copy), so try to find fonts with a lot of contrast that aren’t so close in style. Finally, you also mentioned vibrancy and humor in your image selection, but those ideas didn’t seem to come through on your board. Try to find images that work a bit better for your overall goal here.
