Summary of strengths:
My strength is abiding by the scope of practice while working with teams from different fields to improve clinical practice and patient results in psychiatric settings. I am aware of the several forms of communication that I can use to communicate with patients and other healthcare professionals, such as written, nonverbal, and verbal. Also, the ability to sustain therapeutic alliances and professional boundaries with clients and coworkers is one of my other strengths. I can use psychoeducation to teach health and illness prevention lessons to individuals and families. I am able to record, make changes, and choose suitable treatment plans and educational materials in conjunction with an evidence-based psychotherapy approach in order to attain exceptional patient outcomes.
Opportunities for growth:
Diagnosing mental and behavioral illnesses can be a challenging. Working with individuals, groups, and families will provide me with either the most opportunity or the best potential for growth throughout this quarter, which can be a little bit daunting. Exploring family and group dynamics while handling different personalities, traits, and issues will be intriguing to discover. In order to further foster development, it is essential that I continue to deepen my awareness of mental health issues and take advantage of any chance to use this knowledge and insight when on clinical rotation.

2. Goal: To demonstrate the ability to correctly recognize the specific clinical signs and symptoms associated with each mental condition in every client encountered during this clinical rotation, as confirmed by my preceptor

Objective 1: By the end of week 10 of this winter practicum rotation, I will acquire knowledge about the advantages of different therapeutic approaches and their influence on enhancing patient understanding and clinical results.
Planned Activities: Providing and providing diverse forms of therapy that are relevant to the client’s specific diagnosis and conditions.

Objective 2: By the end of week 10 of this winter practicum rotation, I will be able to create and prioritize a list of differential diagnoses based on the information obtained from the psychotherapy interview, which will ultimately lead to a diagnosis that is in accordance with the DSM-5 criteria.
Planned Activities: Perform a detailed psychiatric interview, which should include the chief complaint, current illness, previous psychiatric history, substance abuse, previous medical history, family history, social history, review of systems, mental state exam, physical examination, formulation, DSM-5 diagnoses, and treatment plan.

Objective 3: By the end of week 10 of this winter practicum rotation, I will assess the responses of patients and make any required adjustments to their treatment plans. By completing the necessary 160 hours for the PMHNP specialty and participating in all client care areas over the next ten weeks.
