The following Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) are what the Office of Personnel (OPM) is looking for in their Senior Leaders. These competencies are what all leaders should aspire to master. It is important that you understand what these mean and how you can develop them. Please prepare a 4-6 minute PowerPoint presentation to be given the third and final week on one of the following SES ECQs:

Results-Driven
Business Acumen
Building Coalitions
You can be creative in your presentation covering what is important to you as well any medium you would like to use. After your presentation you will field questions from the audience. No written report is required. Listed below are some areas you may want to address.
Define what the ECQ means to you.
Provide examples of any personal experience you’ve had with the particular ECQ.
Provide examples of when you have seen leaders practicing the ECQ or conversely when they did not. What where the consequences in either case?
Present ideas on how you could develop the ECQ.
Give examples of how you have already developed the ECQ and the impact you have had.
Add any other relevant comments/info.
