Hopefully this document will be kind of helpful in formulating a paper. As you can see, the capstone’s PICOT is listed below as well. There are several references listed in the attached document that need to be used for the project as well. Paper must be written in APA format. Must use in-text citations (please quote correctly). Please be mindful of grammar, punctuation, and use of proper English. I have also attached a grading rubric as well.

Again, keeper studies can be identified using handy Rapid Critical Appraisal checklists consisting of a set of simple but important questions. Below are sample questions developed for use with quantitative studies that are applicable to most appraisal situations (it’s important to note that qualitative evidence, if it’s relevant to the clinical question, should not be dismissed):

Introduction
The urinary catheter is a device that attaches to the urethra (the tube that carries urine from your bladder) and allows you to urinate while you are in bed. It can be used for any number of reasons including:

A urinary catheter is a tube that is inserted into the body. The tip, or end of the catheter, can be placed into your bladder and inflated with air to keep it in place. The balloon at the tip helps keep it in place by keeping pressure against it when you urinate.
A drainage port is at the end of your urinary catheter and allows liquid from inside your body to come out through this opening when you urinate.
How a catheter is inserted
The catheter is inserted into the urethra, then into the bladder and finally into your kidney.
To make sure that you can’t feel pain during this procedure, your doctor may numb your lower abdomen with an injection of local anesthetic. You may also be given a sedative or other medication before having the catheter put in place so that you aren’t scared or stressed out by what’s happening.
How often a catheter gets changed
The frequency of changing your catheter depends on the situation. If you are having trouble with your catheter, see a doctor.
What to do if you have problems with a catheter.

If you have a fever, chills or pain during urination and you are also diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI), see your doctor.

If you have a UTI and develop symptoms of kidney or bladder infections, call your doctor immediately.

If your catheter becomes dislodged during the night while sleeping or if it leaks fluid into the bedding, contact a healthcare provider immediately.
