We’ve seen this in recent years with the rise of tech entrepreneurs like Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk, who are being worshiped as new gods by their followers. But why? What makes these people so special? It all comes down to how they use technology: rather than relying on old-fashioned religions (or even science), these modern figures use their power over machines to create miracles for people who want them—and it works!

He looks like any other guy you might run into at your local bar on the weekend; maybe even worse than most of them: underdressed for winter weather, wearing sneakers instead of boots just because they’re more comfortable; occasionally asking “What?” when someone talks quickly enough that there isn’t time for an actual question before moving along with whatever else they were going on about back then…
