Social Change Presentation Paper
Social Change Presentation Paper
Social change can require a large movement, or a small intervention, depending on the type of change you are trying to implement. This assignment helps you apply what you have learned this week to a situation in your community where social change may be necessary.
10-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation on social change in your community.
- Description of a social problem in your community
- Examples include graffiti in parks, destruction of community property, property theft, parking violations, speeding, improper disposal of pet waste, and improper landscaping.
- A theoretical perspective on social movements to apply to this problem
- Include a description of how this perspective proposes to address this problem and create social change.
- The possible social influences or agents for change to address the problem in your community
Include detailed speaker notes for each slide.
You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.

Importance of social change
Introduction
Change is inevitable, and if you want to stay ahead of the curve, it’s important to understand how you can affect social change. In this post, I’ll explain why social change is so important and how you can make your own contribution to it.
Social change drives progress in business and society as a whole. It’s essential for businesses, organizations and communities to be able to adapt quickly to changes in the environment around them in order for their businesses or organizations to survive and thrive. Change is inevitable—the only question is whether we’re going to allow ourselves or others around us to change with it?
The tools we use on a regular basis have changed as well; from using pen and paper instead of computers (both written word), typing instead of talking etc.. We are constantly being told that we should be more connected than ever before through technology but what does this mean?
There are things in our society that need to change.
Social change is needed to improve life for all people. Social change can be achieved by working together and taking action.
The world’s population has increased by more than 70 percent since 1950, but the average life expectancy has only increased by 20 years in this time period—the lowest increase since World War II (World Health Organization). This means that more people are living with chronic diseases like diabetes and cancer than ever before, while at the same time we have less money available to provide adequate healthcare support for them.
Social change also helps those who are disadvantaged or marginalised in society such as refugees fleeing conflict zones or those who have lost their jobs because of technology replacing human workers (e-commerce).
Change starts at the beginning.
The first step to any social change is changing yourself. You know what you like, and you know when other people are being rude or mean to others. You don’t need someone else’s permission for how you want to live your life—and if someone tries to force their ideas on you, then it’s time for a conversation!
The second step is changing your friends: not just the ones who agree with everything that comes out of their mouths, but also those who have different views or opinions than yours (and maybe even some people who are somewhere in between). This can be tough because sometimes we’re scared of losing friends if they don’t agree with us…but trust me: keeping good friends is worth it!
Thirdly, change begins by changing families and communities around them; after all, they’re our biggest influences in life! So if there aren’t enough opportunities within these groups where everyone feels comfortable sharing thoughts freely without fear (or judgment), then why not try something new? If nothing else works out despite trying many different methods over time until finally finding one which works well enough where no one feels hurtful anymore…then why not try something else altogether?!
Social change is important so that people can help one another.
Social change is about helping people. People want to help others, and they want to be helped by others. They also want to be able to help themselves, but sometimes this isn’t possible because of the particular circumstances in which they find themselves.
Social change can be a positive force for good for many reasons: it allows us as human beings to share our knowledge and experience with one another; it helps us understand our environment better so that we can make more informed decisions; and it gives us an opportunity for self-expression through art or activism (or even just talking).
We want a better life for everyone.
Social change is important for everyone. It is a good thing, and it should be a priority. Social change helps people to help each other in their everyday lives, improving the quality of life for those who participate in these movements.
People are working toward social change because they believe it is necessary for a good life for all.
People are working toward social change because they believe it is necessary for a good life for all. They want to help each other, and they want to improve their communities. Social change means that everyone will have access to resources and opportunities, regardless of their background or income level.
People who pursue social change understand that they have the power to change society’s rules as well as its conditions—and they know that this power comes from within themselves.
Conclusion
Social change can be a good thing, but it also has its downsides. If you have to change, then you might want to read this article and make sure that you know what the risks are before taking your new path.
