Random samples are a great way to determine how your population of interest is distributed. While we all know about sampling, it’s important to understand random sampling because it allows us to evaluate the representativeness of our sample.
What is random sampling?
Random sampling is a method of selecting sample units from a population. It refers to the process of selecting units, or individuals, that have no relationship between them and each other. This allows for more accurate results because it means that any bias in data collection would be removed by random selection.
Random sampling has many benefits, including:
