To study this phenomenon, the researchers asked many questions with the purpose to understand why were the teen girls in Leroy, NY having tics. With this research purpose, the researchers asked many questions such as were the patients related? What were some commonalities between each patient and the group? Were the onset same for all patients? Were symptoms all the same? Similar demographics? What are some environmental factors at the time of onset? for this phenomenon, it turns out the conversion disorder was ? Assignment: Analyze The Four Approaches of Qualitative Research Order Now

The Four Approaches of Qualitative Research
Introduction
Qualitative research is a specialized method of inquiry that focuses on non-experimental data collection techniques. Qualitative researchers use qualitative methods to explore the meaning and significance of human experience, drawing from their own lived experiences, those of others in their communities, and other data sources. Qualitative research is most often applied to the study of human experience in natural settings; however, it can also be applied to social issues or phenomena found within larger social structures (such as organizations).
Ethnography
Ethnography is a type of qualitative research method that allows you to study a culture from the inside out and in depth. It can take you years to complete, but it’s worth it.
Ethnographers go into their assigned field with an open mind, so they can absorb what they see and hear without judgment or preconception. They record everything they do during their time there on paper or video tape so that they have something tangible to show when they return home (or if they don’t want anyone else seeing their work). The only limitation with ethnographic methods is that some people may not want their information shared outside of family members!
Oral history
-
Oral history is a method of collecting historical information through interviews.
-
It’s a qualitative research method that can be used to gather information about events, people and places.
Grounded theory
Grounded theory is a research methodology that aims to generate theory from data. It was developed by Barney Glaser and Anselm Strauss in the 1960s, and is based on phenomenology, which emphasizes subjectivity rather than objectivity. Phenomenology can also be used as a research method in its own right (as opposed to being used as part of grounded theory).
Phenomenology involves asking questions about people’s experiences with phenomena: what do you think about this? How does it affect your life? What does it mean for me as an individual? What does this mean for society at large?
Narrative research
Narrative research is the most common approach to qualitative research. In this approach, you focus on the stories people tell and how they describe their experience. The storyteller’s voice is important because it captures their perspective of an event or experience and conveys their emotions about it.
This type of research is typically used when you want your study participants’ voices to be heard; for example, if you want to learn more about the experiences of working mothers in society or why some people choose not go to church anymore.
In narrative interviews with participants who are sharing personal narratives (e.g., “My grandfather was a sheriff”), researchers use open-ended questions that invite respondents’ responses based on their own experiences rather than specific topics being discussed during interviews (e.,g., “Tell me something interesting about yourself”).
Takeaway:
The takeaway is a summary of the article and should be written in a professional tone. It can be as long or short as you want, depending on what you feel will best communicate your message to people outside of academia.
If you’re interested in writing a textbook or other scholarly work, it’s important that your takeaway include information about how to use this data in future research projects by answering these questions: What are some limitations of this study? How might these limitations be overcome/mitigated if I were to conduct an additional study using my own methods (i.e., quantitative)?
Conclusion
In conclusion, qualitative research approaches are an excellent way to get a complete picture of an issue or phenomenon. They can be used on their own or in combination with quantitative methods. Each approach has its own strength and weakness depending on what you’re trying to find out about. The most important thing is that people should feel comfortable working with whatever method is best for them!
