You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.

Analysis of Social Problems
Introduction
The discipline of sociology is a social science that studies the distribution and causation of social problems. Sociologists analyze and research why people act in certain ways, how they are affected by their environment, and the conditions under which they develop certain behaviors and attitudes. They use quantitative methods to measure these variables. Social problems can be identified through data collection and analysis, as well as through historical research into past events or trends that shaped how people behave today.
The Social Problems Approach.
Sociology is the study of social problems, human behavior in groups, the structure and institutions that govern society, social change over time and interaction between people. It is an academic discipline which has its origins in the early 19th century with a focus on class structure and economic inequality but since then has expanded to include many other aspects of human existence such as language acquisition, gender relations and race relations.
Propositions.
Social problems are caused by social structures, not individuals. Individuals may choose to act in ways that cause a problem or be affected by it, but these actions are not the sole cause of social problems.
The way society is organized can also affect our behavior and make us more susceptible to certain types of stressors than others; this is because we have different roles within society (e.g., worker vs student), which affects our exposure to stressors like job loss or lack of sleep due to schoolwork. When these factors combine together so that they negatively impact one person’s life experience (like losing their job), then you have a case where they become vulnerable targets for other people’s actions such as bullying at school or harassment on the street because they’re already struggling enough already!
If we want change things around so everyone has equal access to resources within an area then we need people who care about those issues enough
Theory.
In the social sciences, theory is a set of ideas that explains social phenomena. It’s not a prediction of what will happen; it’s an explanation of why it happens. A theory provides a framework for understanding the social world and is used to explain and predict social phenomena.

Research Methods.
In the social sciences, research methods can be divided into two main categories: quantitative and qualitative. Quantitative research involves the collection of precise information about a phenomenon using numbers or measurements. Examples include surveys and experiments. Qualitative research involves the collection of subjective observations about people’s experiences with some issue such as racism, sexism or poverty.
Qualitative studies usually take place in order to develop theories about how people think and act; therefore they are often more difficult to conduct than quantitative ones because they require participants’ active participation (i.e., interviewees must be willing to talk openly). However, there is no way around this difficulty unless you want your study only based on interviews but not involving any empirical evidence whatsoever which would mean that it would not meet any academic requirements set forth by universities around the world today.”
The major job of sociology is to analyze and understand social issues, not to solve them.
Sociology is not a science. It is not a method of solving social issues; instead it is an understanding of these issues and the factors that contribute to them. As such, sociology does not make policy decisions or even provide advice on how best to solve problems like homelessness in your city it merely analyzes them for you.
Sociologists also do not claim that their research will lead directly toward solutions; rather they believe that by understanding human behavior and motivation better than others (and especially how it varies from person-to-person), they can help people better understand themselves and each other so as to improve their relationships with one another at home or work place.
Conclusion
Sociology is a social science that uses qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze the interaction of human beings in their environments. The goal of sociology is to understand how people are related and connected by social processes, such as family life or work life.
