-You began this Assignment in Module 1 and will continue developing your philosophy of nursing practice in Module 2. -This week, consider specific middle range nursing theories that align with or can stretch your thinking about nursing practice.
TO PREPARE:
-Reflect on the current draft of your philosophy of nursing practice and how, or in what ways, your philosophy is grounded in science. (NOTE order # 85139/file # 95460)
-Pay particular attention to the middle range theories you explore in the Week 2 Discussion and how these theories relate to the practice issue you identify.(NOTE order # 85359/file # 96016)
-Consider how to integrate applications of nursing middle range theories (from the Week 2 Discussion or others) into your philosophy statement to strengthen or deepen how nursing science informs or guides your philosophy of nursing practice.
Review the Week 1and 2 Learning Resources, and particularly the handout on writing a philosophy of nursing practice and specific considerations in developing a philosophy statement.
Search the Walden Library and other sources for additional scholarly resources to support your philosophy of nursing practice.
-Reflect on your Week 1 Discussion post and comments from colleagues that help to clarify your philosophy of nursing practice.
-Consider how to be proactive in articulating a philosophy of nursing practice that can guide and support your development as a DNP.
-Consider how to express the Walden University requirement to be a social change agent within your philosophy.
