1. Write a spatial descriptive essay on a place of your own choosing. The paper must be at least one page in length, 12 pt. font in either Times New Roman or Arial. It must be double spaced with indented paragraphs and no additional spacing between paragraphs.
2. Use the grading rubric (see below) to understand what is expected for your paper.
3. Prewrite using listing, an idea map, an informal outline, or one of the other prewriting techniques to generate ideas. How can you describe the physical location using all the senses? Make five sensory lists using the graphic organizer provided in class. Include details that the reader can imagine seeing, hearing, tasting, touching, and smelling at your location. Incorporate those sensory details in your paragraph, one sense for each paragraph.

5. Type a rough draft.
6. Visit the writing center to read your paper and give you feedback. Upload proof of your visit on a separate assignment.
