You will identify sustainable practices on Mohawk College’s campus through a scavenger hunt recognizing and experiencing how sustainability may be applied in a community setting. This may inspire you to continue searching for, or possibly implement sustainable practices within your own homes and communities.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The class will split into groups of 3. Each group must have at least one person with a camera (cell phone or tablet). You will find the items on the scavenger checklist below recording the answers and supporting with photograph of your group at each ‘finding’.

Find all things on your scavenger hunt list below then answer the questions.

HUNT:

QUESTIONS: (answer in full sentences)

How can you ‘as a group’ personally decrease your carbon footprint at Mohawk College?

In what ways might you ‘as a group’ already be implementing sustainable practices in your daily routine?

How is Mohawk College trying to become more Eco-Friendly? List 5 ways not using any of the above scavenger hunt findings.

List some areas within the college (find 5 and state how?) that are helping the environment not using answers from scavenger hunt or #3?

You will complete the answers in a word doc with your names at the top as a ‘Header’. Your answers for the HUNT will be your photos of you and the item I am asking you to seek. Your answers to the questions must be in full sentence structure (min 5 sentences per answer). Once completed with answers and pictures, you will drop your word doc into the drop box by 5:00pm Wednesday October 4th, 2023.
