The attached sketches represent floor plan of office building with two floors. The specifications of the
building are shown below:
Walls: masonry brick walls with 20 cm thickness.
Roof Slab: reinforced concrete with 15 cm thickness.
Column size 20×40 cm
Door width: 90 cm
Ground floor level +0.45 m, first floor level + 4.2, roof floor level + 7.2
Students are required to draw Floor Plan/s (1:50), Building Section A-A (1:50), Building Section B-B
(1:50), North Elevation (1:50), and East Elevation (1:50)
Notes:
Students should suggest any required information and dimensions that are not shown in the
sketches.
Students should submit a hard copy (using AutoCAD) on A2 sheet.
Objectives:
a. Learn how to do orthographic projections (plan – sections – elevations) in AutoCAD.
b. Learn when and how to use different line qualities, weights, and plot styles in AutoCAD.
c. Lear how to do Annotation, Dimensions – Grid – section line – drawing labels in AutoCAD.
d. Learn to deliver the drawings in the required scale.
