For the Critical Assignment on education, your objective is to investigate the topic of education more specifically by using two provided sources about higher education and by considering how those sources might apply to you and others.   

To be successful, you will need to review and read the sources critically and accurately, analyze them, and provide your own ideas about education, its challenges and importance, in relation to what you have learned.   

As you draft this Assignment, think about how your own experiences are connected to what you have researched in this class. In the Literacy Autobiography, we explored personal ideas about education by using Alexie’s (1997) “Superman and Me” Assignment as a starting point. Because we will continue to focus on the topic of education, what you wrote about in your first Assignment is still relevant for the Critical Assignment; however, now you are digging a bit deeper by reviewing more sources and focusing on aspects specific to higher education.
