Submit (Upload) your draft of Essay 1 here as a DOC, DOCX or PDF file no later than 11:59PM, September 26.
At midnight, if you uploaded your draft by 11:59PM, Canvas will automatically assign you three anonymous drafts to review. You will have until 11:59PM tomorrow to read your classmates’ drafts and provide helpful comments (Write directly in the Comments box, based on the Peer Review questions that appear below.)

Please plan to complete the peer review by as soon as you can so each student writer has the chance to incorporate your feedback into the revised final draft.
If you do not submit your draft by deadline, you will not be assigned peer reviews and will not be able to make up the assignment or receive credit.

Peer Review Questions for Essay 1:
What stood out the most or was most enjoyable about your peer’s draft?
Does the essay begin with an introductory paragraph that makes you want to keep reading the essay? What kinds of opening remark–not already present in the introductory paragraph–would further improve the introduction: a question, a definition, a startling fact, a quotation (smoothly integrated with a clear signal phrase and NOT inserted at the beginning as a separate entity)?
Does the order of sentences make sense to you or would some clear transitions or added details help you, the reader, understand what this writer is trying to say?
What is this essay (albeit a work in progress) about? Try to sum up the main point of the essay in one or two sentences.
Is the work being analyzed in the essay listed in the Works Cited? Are there additional outside sources cited in the essay that need to be listed in the Works Cited?
