What is an ethical dilemma that you have seen come up in your Practicum experience thus far?

Unit 4 focuses on helping you develop professional, ethical competence in your human service work. Many of you also have taken the HSV course in ethics and practiced using an ethical code to solve ethical dilemmas. What is an ethical dilemma that you have seen come up in your Practicum experience thus far? How was it handled? Does the NOHS (ethical code for Human Service Professionals) address this ethical issue, and if so, was the correct decision made in relation to the code of ethics? What elements of diversity were acknowledged, addressed, and included in this process? If you are struggling to think of a situation, you may consult your supervisor and/or a human service professional about an ethical issue that they encountered in their professional life and how they went about addressing it.
