Create a Typology of Engagement to sort the public into four dimensions based on their actions in the civic and electoral domains.
create a Typology of Engagement to sort the public into four dimensions based on their actions in the civic and electoral domains. This allows for the evaluations of community aspects including if citizens concentrate efforts in specific areas or if they are involved across dimensions. Students will assign points to respondents based on their participation in specific activities in the Electoral or Civic dimensions. Students will then sort respondents according to the Typology of Engagement. Once the Typology of Engagement is completed, students will write a scholarly paper on their findings.
Please see the rubric below for additional information. Critically reflect on the readings, lectures, and videos, and synthesize your information.
Describe how you completed the Typology of Engagement and how you assigned points to respondents based on their participation
