You are a leader at a local public health agency and a new hospital system has just acquired the local hospital in your community. You have been invited to prepare a report for the new board as they would like to better understand the history behind the roles, policies, and interdependence between the health system and the public health systems.
Since some of the community board members do not have a background in health care, this will be your opportunity to educate them and to provide guidance regarding potential collaborative projects between the two organizations. You may refer to the core functions and essential services of public health and any other content from your textbook, external resources, and the course in creating your report.

Finally, to align the goals of both organizations, and based upon a summary of the information provided in your report, you will want to conclude with two specific and fully described recommendations on how at the local level the health system and the public health department can work together on a current public health issue to meet the community’s needs. Sophisticated sentence construction and thought development. Body of paper within the page requirements (4-6 pages).
Appropriate and high quality references. APA citation style consistently used. No more than 1-2 APA formatting errors with in-text citations or in the reference list. Minimum of four external references used in addition to the course textbook.
