The footprint is in soft soil at an outdoor crime scene that is located in a remote area.

To record the footprint, you require a specific set of tools. You have some of the tools, but not all of them. For example, assume that you have a camera and material for sketching, but not for casting. How will you record the footprint effectively? Your response should include the step-by-step procedure that you would follow to document and preserve the footprint as evidence using the tools available to you.

Can you use any other procedure or tool to record the footprint? Are these methods as effective as casting for recording the footprint? Why or why not?
