Good day everyone,

My Big Five Project Personality Test Results are as follows:

I am somewhat conventional– I strongly agree with this I am very down to earth and uncreative. I am not the one to be artistic or interested in literature or anything of the sort. I still believe that i am very open-minded and i do not limit myself not in school or in business but I really do not fancy the creative stuff. Subjects like Technical Drawing and Building Technology would give me a very tough time to pass whereas i just completed my Bachelor's Degree with a 3.91 GPA.

I am very well organized, and can be relied upon- I own two businesses, I work for my dad as a junior manager of his company and i am doing my Masters in Business; this is impossible to do without being organized. I label all my work properly, i write down my objectives or responsibilities for the week as well as highlight priorities. I am very responsible and definitely reliable; if i told you that i will do something consider it done. This also helps me very much as both a leader and a follower

You are extremely outgoing, social and energetic- This is absolutely true. I love to socialize, have a good time and network myself with people. I love going on adventures such as hiking, waterfall hunting and so on. This makes it very easy for people to communicate with me or approach me. Very good quality for me both as a leader and a follower. 

You are good natured, courteous and supportive- this is normally how people describe me. I am a very understanding and reasonable person. I am very serious when it comes to work but i understand that we are all humans and i am very flexible as a leader. With my team there is hardly ever arguments; people express their opinions in a very professional and respectable manner. As a follower i may not agree with the leader but i would express this very diplomatically so that it does not create a tension or hinder productivity. 

You probably remain calm, even in tense situations- I do remain calm majority of the time. My emotions do not get the best of me. I always think of a solution to the problem both as a leader and a follower. Yes someone may do something i did not like or something i clearly explained was not done properly; i would think of it as it has happened let us find the solution as soon as possible, being angry hinders your thinking and solves nothing. I would still correct the individual if it was a fault of theirs but again i would act on facts and not emotion.

Week 5 Discussion

            I have taken the Big Five Project Personality Test years ago so I was anxious to see if my personality has changed or not since then. According to my current results, in the open-mindedness category, I prefer traditional and familiar experiences. I am not an artistic person at all. I respect the arts and think that the people who fit in this category are very interesting but I can say that there is not one creative bone in my body. In the conscientiousness category, I am very well-organized, and can be relied upon. My friends and family might say that I have a touch of OCD, maybe, maybe not but I like things the way I like them. Before leaving work, my desk is cleaned off and ready for the next day. At home before going to bed, dishes are cleaned and everything is put in the right place. My favorite book is a planner. In the extraversion category, I am relatively social and enjoy the company of others. I have always been a social butterfly and still enjoy my different social groups but as I get older, I am appreciating my time alone every now and then. In the agreeableness category, I tend to consider the feelings of others. This category is self explanatory. I have a very big heart and try to help others the best I can. In the negative emotionality category, I am generally relaxed. When it comes to my personality, I am somewhat cool, calm and collected. Of course I have my moments where I get worked up and it’s just one of those days but overall, I have a chill personality. Looking over the results, this is 100% me to the core. It is pretty cool that a simple test can tell so much about you as a person.

            Your personality outlines who you are as a person. It showcases what areas are your strengths, as well as your weaknesses. I think personalities play a big part when it comes to how to lead and follow. Some personalities do not work well with each other no matter how much you try. With me being such a chill and organized person, I would not work well with somebody who is unorganized and high strung. Having to be around that type of person, whether in a personal or professional setting would stress me out.

            I think the personal quality of mine that I would say needs to improve is my agreeableness and the fact that I am open to helping anyone. Being a team player is a great quality for a leader and follower but because people know that about me, I typically get stuck doing people’s work that they left to last minute and because they need help, they come to me. I am doing better setting boundaries when it comes to helping others. There is a fine line between helping somebody and being taken advantage of and I am finally getting it.
