Data Collection and Descriptive Statistics
In this project, you will demonstrate your understanding of data collection and descriptive statistics. You will collect the data, organize, summarize, and describe the data the way it is explained in Chapter 1-Chapter 3.You will, then, create a written report including all parts below and turn in by the stated due date according to the guidelines provided in this paper.
The Research Questions:
1. Numerical: What year were you born?
2. Categorical: What is your favorite answer?
These are the two questions my project will be based on, I dragged a pdf to show the full attachment of the assigment. For anything needed I can give my acess code for the class information.
I also have all the answers listed he wanted a minimum of 20 and I have a bit more. I will put the answers in a pdf as well.

If you have a hard time finding data, you can use this data set that was collected from students in a Statistics class. The Research Questions: In this section, you will come up with two research questions about a Population (based on the Chapter 1 material) 1. Come up with a research question on making an estimate about a population proportion. For question 1, your question should be asking about a categorical variable. For example: Are you a full-time student? (Yes, or no?) Write your question and your estimated prediction of the results. 2. Come up with a research question on making an estimate about a population mean. For this question, your question should be about a numerical variable. For example: What is the average number of hours that you work each week? Write your question and your estimated prediction of the results.
Collecting Data 3. Create a survey and collect the data for responses to your proposed questions above. Write down all your collected raw data here: Question 1 (categorical variable) results: Question 2 (numerical variable) results: a) First, input your collected data in the box above b) Describe the data collecting process. c) Who is in the sample and who is your population of interest? d) Name one type of bias that your sampling method has because of the way you collected data. e) If you had more resources, what would you do to eliminate bias?

In this section, you will organize, summarize, and describe the data that you have collected, and you will be using Statcrunch for some of this (based on the Chapter 2 material) For the data from Question 1 (the categorical variable) a. Is there anything interesting about it?
Computing the specific numbers of the data 5. (You may use the chart below to help you) g) What is the best measure of spread (dispersion) for your data set? h) What does the IQR tell us about the data? i) What is the 75th percentile? Write a sentence explaining what this means.
Conclusion 6. Write a conclusion. a. Did the result match your initial predictions? Why or why not? b. What did you learn about the population of your interest from your data analysis? c. Write about another topic that you would like to research. You will be graded not only on your analysis and graphs, but also on the quality of your writing.
