In this project the students will select a new project that would be necessary to implement within their current role/own business; they can also choose a project that has just started but is lacking the necessary planning and support documentation.
If none of this is possible, they will have to create a new one from scratch. In any case, it will have to be a feasible and real project related to the hospitality sector (hotel, events, restaurant, F&B, luxury outlet, etc.).

Project Overview: Students will work on the preparation of the documentation of a new project of their own, ideally real, and in their own business setting. Overall Aim: The project is designed to develop the student’s skills on project definition and planning, using the steps of the project cycle and SMART goal techniques. Learning outcomes: 1. Apply project management skills effectively. 2. Link and implement project goals to the stakeholders’ needs. 3. Support optimal results using SMART goals. 4. Initiate, plan, implement and close projects.
Organization and methodology: In this project the students will select a new project that would be necessary to implement within their current role/own business; they can also choose a project that has just started but is lacking the necessary planning and support documentation. If none of this is possible, they will have to create a new one from scratch. In any case, it will have to be a feasible and real project related to the hospitality sector (hotel, events, restaurant, F&B, luxury outlet, etc.). Failing to submit the project on time will result in a 0 grade. Report layout: It is very important that the students pay special attention to the format of the document, as it reflects professionalism and care for the work done. The teacher will value the professionalism of the report in terms of formatting. One and a half spacing should be used for typing the general text. The general text shall be typed in Calibri font, 12 size and 1,5 interlineal space. All graphics and tables should use an appropriate format as well (word table, excel table embedded, etc.). English skills will be assessed in the written report and will count as 10% of the final grade.
