Recently, Hip Hop artists, Young Thug, Gunna, and a host of other members of the alleged street gang, Young Slime Life (YSL), were indicted on a slew of charges including violation of the RICO Act. According to Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis, the artist’s lyrics will be used in court in order to tie them to the various crimes in which they are charged with. What are your thoughts on the indictment? Are you in favor of the court allowing rap lyrics to be used in criminal court cases? Why or why not?
