1. The client population I would like to work with while completing my field placement is children, young teens. Children that have faced things in life at their age they shouldn't have. I want to advocate for these children, to have the ability to keep a child safe or a family together if the child is safe in those surroundings. I want to help young teens with their mental health. Some problems this population might experience are social workers assisting in abuse and neglect investigations and helping place children in safe environments. Two ways a social worker could address these problems at the micro/mezzo level is therapy, and getting the child help one on one, and also advocate and help these young teens and children as much as possible. Social workers use their skills and expertise to promote good mental health, strengthen relationships, and end generations cycles of trauma and substance use, ultimately creating healthier families and communities.

2. Ideally, I would like to work with the adult autistic community during my practicum hours. Autistic people are commonly seen as different and left out of activities and job interviews Autistic people also commonly struggle with finding and maintaining employment. A micro-level social worker would be able to help autistic adults apply for jobs and find appropriate training. Mezzo-level social workers can teach companies how autistic individuals can be beneficial to their company. Luckily there have been many people who have tried and succeeded in making a difference in the world of employment for autistic people. I was surprised to learn how many companies have hopped on board with hiring autistic and other disabled adults already and of course there are many companies in search of autistic people specifically because many of them have  (Rudy, n.d.).
