Personal Journey in Ministry
The South University Doctor of Ministry is an “in-ministry” program for men and women who are already involved in ministry leadership roles. Usually, this means students who are in full- or part-time (bivocational) ministry positions, though in some cases this leadership may be unpaid or volunteer. So regardless of the role or remuneration, you bring important experience to the D.Min. program with you. In this brief paper, you’ll outline your ministry experience. In particular, reflect on your sense of call to ministry and the circumstances that God seems to have used to guide you to the ministry role now. These are the “who, what, where, and when” factors. As you present your ministry history, be sure to include “highlight” and/or “lowlight” moments of your ministry that have shaped your calling.
You can share portions of this paper with your classmates in this week’s discussion forum.
This paper will become Section 3 “Personal Journey” of your course final project due in Week 10 (online) or Week 11 (on-campus). You will need to include any recommended revisions made by your instructor.
