The art of music provides many benefits when being studied, similar to various other subjects these benefits can assist beyond their means. Music is more than just instruments, melodies, and music notes. Music is a strong form of expression that allows many individuals a space to release and communicate ideas, feelings, and/or present a story. Having the ability to express such things allow a mental release for the creator, subsequently linking music to a form of stress relief. Music has also been linked to an increase in coordination. “Just like playing sports, children can develop motor skills when playing music.” (para. 4, Admin)
Studying music has given many the ability read deeper into sounds, enhancing and understanding the meaning behind many sounds. “Students who practice music can have better auditory attention, and pick out predictable patterns from surrounding noise.” (para. 11, Admin) From depicting emotions portrayed once an instrument is played to depicting emotions behind tones within someone voice this is a very beneficial skill. With these skills and many more society has and continues to progress. Hand eye coordination has assisted in the creation of many things including the creation of buildings, electronic equipment, assisted in improvements in safety and many more things; proving to assist beyond than just music.
