An existing patient, Jennifer Smithson, arrived earlier this morning at Reception and was attended to by another receptionist Emily, who asks if there are any available appointments with Dr Bond this afternoon? Emily viewed Dr Bond’s appt screen and there is one last appt available at 2:00 pm, which Jennifer happily accepts.
Emily proceeded to book this Standard Consultation appointment with Dr Bond and informed her politely that its’ all booked and will see her at 2:00pm today.
Jennifer has now returned for her 2:00pm and proceeds to introduce her mother, Dawn Smithson, to you who also lives at 123 Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn. Jennifer requested that she like Dawn to be recorded on her file as the person responsible for her medical bills from now on. Dawn then provides verbal consent for this to occur.
You immediately open up Jennifer’s Patient Detail screen (see below) and notice that her Medicare Card has expired. You also notice on Jennifer’s Appointment Detail screen (see below) that she still has an outstanding Medicare cheque owing to the Clinic for $123.50 from her previous consultant.
