Assignment Instructions:
We’ll take a brief break from reading for this assignment, and instead focus on digesting and understanding the concepts put forward in Abram’s chapter (the second chapter) on phenomenology.

This assignment requires a bit of real world experimentation. Consider Abram’s concept of a participatory or reciprocal understanding of perception. Reread a bit of this chapter (the second chapter) if necessary. Then, spend some time somewhere, preferably outside and not within a human made structure. Note how your perception of that environment agrees or disagrees with the sentiments Abram lays out in his book so far. Are you able to access the sort of perceptual and experiential zones Abram describes? Do you sense any sort of change in your thoughts or mood?
