7.Can you please describe a typical workday for you?I wake up at 0430, drive to my assigned unit which is 20 minutes away from home. Pastsecurity and start accountability on my platoon after getting my count I make sure everyonesis wearing the right uniform for training after and hour and thirty minutes we go back to outlockers and get change on our regular uniform.First formal formation is at 0700 myresponsibility is to make sure all my personnel have the right gear and uniform for the day. Iconduct inspections and assign weapons and work locations to each squad. After soldiers aresent to their positions I go to my boss’s office and create memorandums, during the day Imake sure everyones is doing what they were told to do. Accountability is very importantfor us so I keep in contact with every single NCO ( Sergeants) in charge of my squads. I getto go home after the last formation is done which can vary from day to day. The next daycan be similar to the day before but I have to make sure I have a plan for the next day andhave the approval from my chain of command.8.What are your primary responsibilities at work?Leading my platoon in carrying out the plan for each day. Make sure all my soldiers are allaccountable for.9. How long have you worked in this capacity?Three years as a LT, but I have 4 years prior in the service as a Sergeant.10.What aspects of your job do you enjoy the most?Being able to help my community in so many ways motivates Female and male soldiers in my unit.11. What aspects of your job do you wish you could change?Opportunity to females, job opportunities.12.Do you think that your identity as a feminist influences the way you approach your work? Howso?Yes definitely ! It makes me work harder and show everybody that being a woman in my case orbeing a woman in general are capable of everything.
