Here is the assignment
Howdy folks, this week we’re gonna try something different, I want you to generate a discussion question for your classmates to respond to. So that means there will be two parts to this week’s discussion:
Part 1: Due Wednesday, 2/15 (at least 100 words)
Post a question or questions that will spark further discussion and tell us why you’re asking it. For example, you could ask something like “what do you think this story is interested in exploring?” or “why do you think the story was written using this point of view?”. These discussion questions should be complex, so avoid questions with yes or no or simple answers. What did you find interesting about this story? What did you like or dislike about it? What did this story make you think about while you were reading it and after? These are all good places to begin when deciding what you want to post. Here’s an example:
I think this story raises interesting questions about the nature of identity and what makes us who we are. What makes you, you? Is it our memories?

Why do you think Cixin Liu wrote this story using only dialogue? For the majority of the story, all we get as readers is a back and forth between the Fetus, the Mother, and Dr. Ying, so I’m curious to hear from the rest of you as to why you think this was done.
Part 2: Due Friday, 2/17 ( at least 300 words)
Choose at least two of your colleagues to respond to, you can either respond to their first post or you can keep the discussion going and respond to someone else’s response. So say Maria posts a question that Bryan responds to, Kendia could then respond to Bryan and add to that discussion. Alternatively, Kendia could also respond to someone else’s question. However you choose to do it, just make sure you respond to at least two of your colleagues in at least 300 words.
