PURPOSE OF ASSIGNMENT
This paper is an opportunity to dive deep on an organizational problem you need to solve. You will be able to take everything you have learned so far in this course and apply it to your own experience. This will also give you the chance to evaluate evidence in light of a real-world context.
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS
Pick a problem your organization needs to solve. (It does not necessarily have to be your workplace; it could be a social club, church, volunteer position, or other organization you have regular experience with). Please do not choose a problem you have already solved!
Diagnose the problem first. Make sure to include your analysis of the impact of the political styles of various stakeholders.
Compare two decision-making processes to consider possible recommendations. Create a table that compares the likely outcomes of using either process. Summarize the impact of organizational politics with each outcome.
What strategies will you use to influence the political climate around the situation?
Include your final recommendations to influence organizational politics.
