Construct an annotated bibliography for an upcoming research paper.
The topic is the end of religion and social media. Is it possible for social media to bring about the end of religious practice? How will that impact moral systems upheld in daily life? Are we already seeing the end of religious practice and the decomposition of morals as a direct result? Working Thesis(For context): The usage of social media by the masses will bring about the end of religious practice in America. As a society, we have already seen a deterioration in morals as a direct result of disregard for religious practice.
The Annotated Bibliography must include:
1. Use Times New Roman 12-point font.
2. Must be typed in Chicago-style format
3. Include one to two paragraphs for each annotation. A paragraph should consist of
approximately seven(7) sentences.
4. A minimum of eight (8) sources are required for the annotated bibliography.
5. The annotation should include a. the citation in the correct, Turabian style(required) b.
the annotation itself explaining why the source is relevant to your paper, the authors
main argument, and your agreement/disagreement with the author.
6. The annotated bibliography should appear in alphabetical order according to the last
name of the author. (see sample page)
7. Citations are single-spaced with a hanging indent (the first line is not indented but the
following lines are indented). Annotations are double-spaced. Citations appear before the
annotation.
8. A minimum of eight(8) sources,at least three should be books. Must be scholarly and academic. Must be peer-reviewed. These eight must not include textbooks from class. It is expected that all sources will be scholarly sources with clear, discernible relevance to the topic and reliability that cannot be impugned. NO WIKIPEDIA! NO INTERNET SOURCES! (This does not include scholarly journals that are also published on the internet. When in doubt ask your professor! Use Turabian or advice on formatting citations and a bibliography/reference list.
9. Sources must be cited using either Turabians notes/bibliography
style, use the 9th edition of Kate Turabians A Manual for Writers of Research Papers, Theses, and
Dissertations. You need not buy this book. There should be one in the library and you can also go
to www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/Turabian.html and avail yourself of needed information.
