Background: The Franklin County Health Department has made no announcements to the general public yet. The state level health department and the emergency operations center has just notified the health department they have identified that Franklin County’s water supply has been contaminated by microorganisms.
Your Role: You are a health educator at the local health department in Franklin County.
You are a health educator at the Franklin County Health Department during the aftermath of a recent tornado. During the tornado the community’s public water systems failed. As a result of this recent tornado, a boil water notice has been issued to protect consumers whose drinking water has been contaminated by microorganisms that can cause illness (i.e. germs or pathogens). You have been asked to help educate the community about the boil water notice.
