Describe a “new course addition” to be added to “enhance” an existing course that teaches staff nurses to precept newly hired nurses. The focus is on the staff nurse education NOT the newly hired nurse. For example, a course for staff nurses that teaches them how to precept newly hired nurses is called a staff nurse preceptor program. What new course could be added to the above staff nurse course curriculum to enhance the staff nurse preceptor program.
