The identified research problem is the surveillance for healthcare associated infections in regards to the impact of it during the COVID-19 pandemic. They researched device associated infections ventilator associated events, central line-associated bloodstream infections, and catheter-associated urinary tract infections. The author did include the significance and background of the problem.

The study was a prospective surveillance study from January 2021 to June 2021. It was conducted in a 30-bed ICU of tertiary care and academic healthcare organizations.

Yes, the article included all the information in regards to the amount of device related incidences during their time period. They found that there was a spike of device related infections. They found that these secondary measures provided more risk to COVID patients for infections.
