More than just constructing a SWOT matrix, I’m looking for a discussion of your company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Tell me why you think that and provide support/references where necessary. Instead of a bullet list, please write this section of the paper in complete sentences/paragraphs.

You should find and reference a few (at least 3-4) news articles to give background on the company’s current situation. I would also suggest looking at annual reports or other financial filings (like 10-K filings with the SEC). If your company is publicly traded, try Googling the company name and “10-K”. That should bring you to the company’s investor website.

There’s a lot of good information on the Internet, but there’s a lot of bad information too. When selecting your source material, you need to be careful. When I do a Google search for “Netflix SWOT analysis”, I come across a number of websites that have done SWOT analyses for Netflix. For whatever reason, there is a niche of websites that post SWOT analyses on many different companies. Those are not appropriate sources for a college research report. The information may be several years old, and often those websites don’t list their references. And the point of this assignment is for you to do a SWOT analysis, not rely on the work that others have done. DO NOT REFERNCE ONLINE SWOT ANALYSES IN YOUR REPORT.

Submit in Microsoft Word .doc/.docx file format

Include a cover sheet with your name, your paper title, the date, and the paper’s word count

Times New Roman, 12 pt font

1-inch margins on all sides (top, bottom, left, and right)

~2-4 pages of text (~1,000-1,500 words)

List all references you use

APA reference formatting, including the use of in-text citations

PART two a small summary of the information above:

Provide the group a high-level overview of your SWOT analysis. This could be a bullet list of the company’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. Are there any areas you think need expanding? Provide feedback and ideas to your classmates.
