In the unit, we took a look at the development of music in the “Modern era” through the lens of different genres of music that are specifically relevant to the ways we consume music today. What role does politics play in music of today? How does that affect your understanding of the music? Do you see a link between the music of film, video games, electronic music, and popular music? If so, what is it? Did you learn anything new about these genres that surprised you?
