Identifying Parts of Speech

This week we looked at parts of speech, basic grammar, sentence parts and patterns, and the importance of writing a good sentence. In this project, we will put this knowledge to work by identifying the highlighted passages, words, and sentences according to the instructions.

Read the article The Problem of Evil in DC Universe Animated Movies, 2007–2016 and look for the highlighted sections. In a Microsoft Word document, list and label what you find. For example, the first highlighted word is genre it is labeled example. We are asking you to tell us what the word genre is. Genre is a noun. Thus, Example – genre – Noun. Continue this process for the twenty-five labeled items. You will find parts of speech as well as types of sentences.
