As a Human Resouce Manager, you have been asked follow and update executive leadership on the progress of the case. The case is in the pleading stage of litigation and you want to make sure that counsel are meeting all of the procedural deadlines. The plaintiff filed the complaint on January 20, 2018 please use the rules of civil procedure for your state (NYS) to determine when each party needs to file an answer, counter-claim or reply. In addition, please determine what information and content is required in an answer, counter-claim or reply. Please prepare a memorandum to executive leadership advising of the deadlines for each party to file an answer, counter-claim or reply. In addition, please provide an outline of what information/content needs to be included in each of the pleadings.

Your assignment should demonstrate an understanding of legal writing, as well as the differences between legal writing and academic writing. It should demonstrate thoughtful consideration, a good understanding of the substantive content, and your ability to communicate information clearly, effectively, and in an appropriate tone. Your response should reflect graduate-level writing and BLUEBOOK standards for formatting and citation when appropriate.
