Gaining knowledge is a fundamental aspect of every Muslim. As a student of knowledge, I am familiar with the standards and integrity of Islamic education. I have decided to pursue a master’s degree in Islamic theology and Philosophy at Zaytuna College because it will give me a strong foundation for developing a structured, logical argument in various contexts. And I believe grounding both those two is a big asset that will aid me in my studies 

Additionally, the college places a strong emphasis on studying completes texts rather than excerpts, which will aid me in my studies  

The emphasis on complete texts, rather than just excerpts, is particularly appealing to me as I plan to focus on doing research. Zaytuna programs offer a strong foundation in Arabic, as well as the opportunity to research and become familiar with secondary literature. In addition to language training, this will give me the chance to work the colleges distinguished faculty on research projects and gain access to their expertise and guidance  

Seeking knowledge requires under qualified and competent mentors and I believe Zaytuna is qualified for that which is the reason I chose to learn from Zaytuna. The mastery of Arabic is also essential for a scholar, as the sources of Islam are written in Arabic. Without proper linguistic training, it is impossible to interpret and teach effectively. Zaytuna’s program will provide me with the necessary tools and training to become a competent scholar.  

I am confident that gaining master’s degree from Zaytuna will enable me to make significant contributions to educate my fellow Muslims. I am happy to start my journey with Zaytuna and further my knowledge. My plan is to teach and provide religious guidance to young Muslims about the principles and values of our beautiful religion and serve as resource for our community.
