The executive team has recently met and determined that they will offer an “appreciation” bonus to all staff members in the company. The amount will be based on years of service and will also be calculated for hourly workers and salaried employees. The executive team have determined that employees who have 3 or fewer years of service will be entitled to a lump sum payment of $1800.00 or 2.5% of their annual income — whichever is higher. Those with 4 or more years of service will receive a lump sum payment of $3500 or 5% of their salary – whichever is higher. All payments will appear in pay at the end of the third quarter of 2023 (i.e. end of September).

Margaret has asked you to let employees know about this recent decision. Send a message to the employees sharing this update and include all the information they need. Be sure to add any details that you think employees would appreciate hearing.
