Case study 3 New Client 3 — The senior profile When you were younger you were involved in an unfortunate car accident. which left you with an aching back and sore arm. You underwent rehabilitation to strengthen the muscles and movement for a period afterwards which helped relieve the extent of the pain. Most of the years after the accident you have learned to cope with flare ups from time to time however you have noticed the pain in both the lower back and left arm is getting worse. You have been retired for some time and are not overly active physically, though you do attempt to go for strolls when the pain doesn’t seem so bad. But lately, it is hard for you to take even just a few steps. You are seeing other health therapists, as you feel the relaxation of aromatherapy to calm your high blood pressure and see a reflexologist for the arthritis in your hands. You prefer a softer pressure applied to the areas of pain on your body.
