Strategic Planning
Strategic planning is the way to record and lead a business by examining where it is currently and where it's going. Goals, visions, long-term priorities, and action plans are documented to utilize this strategic plan. Strategic planning of health institutions requires outlining the necessary strategies to accomplish those priorities. Although various styles and levels of strategy are possible, the goal of all strategies is to coordinate an organization's activities and its specified purpose or principles (Neis et al., 2017). Healthcare providers now need more patient-centered, value-added approaches, as many of their established systems adopt more conservative, older strategic models.
What Healthcare Can Achieve With Strategic Planning
Collaboration and cooperation among teams are increased. To enhance effectiveness and service, teamwork is critical for every healthcare sector. A very well-executed strategic plan could improve teamwork, improve organizational responsibility, and increase productivity (Tzu, 2018). Effective healthcare strategy models can bring your workers together and provide high-qualities health care, outstanding service, and effectiveness.
It improves communication within the organization. Successful health planning will help clarify and enhance communications. You should tackle the organization's main problems, mission, and objectives and the steps for achieving them should be communicated (Vermeulen et al., 2019). The trust and confidence in the organization will benefit your staff and shareholders. Lack of proper communications can lead to role crashing and confusion among healthcare workers.
It increases employee's engagement and morale. Strategic planning shows where the organization is going. Workers are dedicated and empowered to help you fulfill your goal. Stakeholders will be confident and clear in making sound financial decisions (Tzu, 2018). Strategic preparation for specifically defined, implemented, and communicated healthcare facilities will allow stakeholders to create a direction that will lead to a prosperous future.
It can lead to transformational leadership and authority. Transformative leadership is a kind of direction that encourages the staff to work harder and to do better. It contains methods referenced in research on organizational behavior. Transformation managers openly articulate the mission and their companies' capacity to deliver high results and believe their workers (Vermeulen et al., 2019). It's a vital aspect of strategic management to make the staff realize how their positions will relate to their mission and vision.
Recommended Area of Focus for Barbara's Plan
Good strategic planning should provide a mission, vision, and goals. However, influential organizations have had such a strategic plan, which fails in the course of implementation. To avoid such a turn of events, Barbara should operationalize her project to include daily goals (Vermeulen et al., 2019). This involves identifying the initiatives for executing the strategy in line with the work-shop framework covering all programs relevant to the plan's priorities and important initiatives under those programs.
Achieving a Balance of Historical and Current Topic in Healthcare
Historical topics in healthcare are entirely different from contemporary ones. The recognition and processing of meaningful data to measure how an organization performs in achieving its strategic priorities and harmonizing existing working procedures with this approach have become one of the medical sector's historical concerns. In her strategic plan, Barbara can blend the current topic with historical topics relevant in the contemporary world. For example, the need to provide quality patient care has been a historical topic that is still a concern today. Currently, we have emerging technologies in the healthcare market. Barbara can include such technologies to implement the provision of quality healthcare. For example, according to Chen & Decary (2020) use of electronic medical records and block chain technology can speed up the provision of care and visualize diagnostic and treatment trends, which can be used to provide care efficiently and effectively.
Primary and Secondary Research for Barbara
For primary research, she can benefit from experts' advice on how to plan strategically. To achieve this, she can conduct a face to face or phone interview, which will provide helpful insights for a rational strategic plan (Leskaj, 2017). She will benefit from having information that is relevant and up to date with the current trends. For secondary data, she can opt to use compiled research reports and publications on strategic planning. She will benefits from having essential information within a short time (Leskaj, 2017). Finally, if she uses secondary data published by government agencies, she will access it at no cost.
In conclusion, I would deduce that it is unnecessary to lay out the strategic goals to encourage the organization to understand the plan alone. To do this is not to prepare, but rather to cross the fingers and wish for the best. The endless instances of the inability to execute the plan led to all of us have been shown or read. Since optimism is not a tactic, companies must buckle their security loops and abandon comfort zones when mastering success or encounter the hard truth of not delivering on their plans.

Strategic plan
Strategic planning in healthcare is framing goals and creating objectives regarding where a company would like to be in the future. Then come up with a plan concerning specific strategies. The elaboration of a strategy to meet the goals and objectives allows staff at every level to have the passion and drive needed to motivate them. The advantage of Healthcare strategic planning is that it improves the key areas like the organization's culture, target and goals, risk management, capital planning, and cost accounting.
The healthcare industry is an active sector that keeps on changing rapidly. In the past decades, the industry has kept on planning for the future to overcome future challenges and become successful. When actions are coordinated and focused on specific outcomes, they are much more effective also planning can improve resource utilization. A healthcare organization's strategic plan allows for efficiency and flexibility in all business activities regarding the business size (Rathi, R. 2019).
Urgent Care Clinic (UCCO) is a medical facility group that provides clinical services to the community. UCCO is an essential aspect of the healthcare community by providing convenient services when a patient cannot go to a Hospital.
The problems that Barbara should focus on when formulating the strategic plan for the Urgent Care Clinic include focusing on the firm's financial goals and determining if the proposed changes will create many positive effects on the organization. The plan should be sharply analyzed and evaluated to give any positive impacts. The analysis will make sure that changes are made to have positive financial suggestions. Another situation that Barbara should consider is the need for the organization's population or the facility serves. The organization in its strategy should include the consumers' needs and plan on how to meet them. They should also study the chance of these needs changing; then, after that, they can come up with a plan to change the consumer's inconstant need.
Improvement of the overall process of providing quality patient care, Barbara should choose reliable electronic health records. These benefits should translate into improved quality of care and improved patient safety, which will reduce professional liability claims. However, history has shown that medical innovations are frequently going along with new risks. He should understand the various EHR systems by considering where the data occupy and where servers are located. There are two types of Electronic record systems: a remotely hosted system and a physician-hosted system. Barbara should recommend a remotely hosted system because data are stored in different servers, and the entity is responsible for storing, maintaining, and backup the data (Tucker, C. S. 2020).
In balancing between historical and current topics of healthcare, the market should be acknowledged before anything else. While adopting theories of planning for standards, and evidence-based practice should be used. Which will ensure that the action plan is blended with historical theories and current methods. Primary data to be used to gather information include conducting surveys and interviewing relevant stakeholders, and secondary data to be used include sources that have already been documented. All these sources are recommended for formulating strategic planning (Huyben, D. C 2020).

Barbara overall strategy recommendation
In the UCCO case, the institution is analysed to determine its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. These factors will help UCCO to formulate a plan unique to its operations. To come up with the proper overall strategy for UCCO, Barbara has to consider all the factors affecting the organization both positively and negatively. Barbara recommends improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the services and operations of UCCO. According to Proctor (2013), the implementation of strategies requires a solid description of items and their uses in realizing the objective of a plan. The employees of the UCCO should focus their work on realizing the overall strategic plan.
Importance of EHR system in a health institution
UCCO institution is faced with the challenge of having electronic records. EHR, a system to record, store, and transfer health records will be crucial in realizing the implementation of the overall strategy. EHR will ensure the provision of satisfying services to patients and provide better health records management. Devkota and Devkota affirm that the EHR is a crucial consideration in the overall strategy in an organization helping in reducing medical errors, improving patients and health providers' interaction, and providing safe guided health care. Therefore, the EHR system will be an important plan to implement in UCCO institutions and making it the best choice for the provision of satisfying services to patients.
Development of action items in strategic planning
Barbara should develop an action item based on the performance of the institution and the services offered. These actions include the improvement of equipment, improvement of the health facilities, and proper management of resources. These actions should be harmonized with the EHR system to ensure error reduction, adequate record-keeping and management, and creating an interactive relationship. The action items should be well stipulated about their purpose, implementation, and the due date for completion. This will help to ensure that the strategies are implemented within the planned duration also, realizing the objectives in time. Action items should be recorded as they are discussed in the minute of the meeting to ensure items are implemented as discussed.
Recommendation of outcomes basing action items
Implementing the overall strategy of UCCO using the discussed action item will ensure the realization of improved efficiency and effectiveness in service provision and operations of UCCO. This institution will be able to create social media platforms to advertise their services and interact with their patients. UCCO will be able to provide special services all-round the institution that will satisfy the interests of UCCO. Compliance with the relevant regulations of health services and HIPPA will be implemented and customer services improved, hence, creating an undivided trust for patients to seek services from UCCO. The institution will be able to compete with other health institutions in providing health care services and solving health problems fully at affordable costs for their community. Therefore the institution will be able to realize an increase in revenue due to the increased number of patients and the realization of its objectives.
Conclusion
In conclusion, strategic planning and implementation is a crucial factor to work on in an organization to realize the objective of the enterprise. Action items should be carefully selected and their usefulness and implementation well formulated. These activities will ensure a smooth preliminary for the implementation process of a strategic plan.

Ethical Considerations

Ethical Considerations
Healthcare professionals have to ensure they display personal behavior ideal for the representation of ethical contact principles affiliated of honesty, autonomy, respect, in addition to justice. It is necessary for the professionals to avoid situations whereby partake in derogative language, violence racism, or any form of harassment using technology or any other approach. From the case presented, it is arguable that the nursing manager failed to protect the patient’s information, which is an indication of lacking security culture mindset, inability to conduct a security risk evaluation, or develop a significant patient-information privacy policy. The idea of protecting patient information is necessary because it promotes a more efficient communication platform between the healthcare professional and the patient. Effective communication is necessary because it enhances the quality of care, an enhanced autonomy, in addition to prevents economic harm. The patient needs protection from other concerning issues such as discrimination and embarrassment from any sort of information that may lick to a public domain.
Being legally complaint with protection of patient information is one of the most crucial codes of ethics in the modern day health care. The process is significant because it contributes to the provision of valuable benefits for any society. Improving human health as well as health care standards relies abundantly on information collected through health research that emphasizes on the importance of protecting patient information. The process of protecting patient information entails carrying out research that aims at harm and preservation of their rights as an essential element under ethical research (Saranto 2014). Integrating computer software is appropriate because it prevents any instances of deliberate refusal of information and protection of a system from any possibilities of physical harm. The value of security is to ensure the health records remain safe from any person that is unauthorized to gain access to the content.
The perception and attitude of patients regarding the privacy of health records as presented through health research is one of the necessary areas that needs to be addressed. The availability of empirical evidence concerning the privacy of each piece of privacy information is vital to the process. Age and religious requests possess different kinds of bearing to the case of the 13-year-old patient. Health care experts need to make sure they maintain morals that are bound from an ethical point of view to ensure that they observe qualities such as privacy, confidentiality, in addition to dignity of the patient (Saranto 2014). Respecting the rights of a patient is paramount because it supports holding diverse values, attitudes, and opinions. The code of ethics invites open communication between colleagues and professionals at the healthcare facility in case there is superstition over unethical practices affiliated with violation of proficient Code of Ethics.
Role and Importance of Communication among UCCO Facilities
The strategic plan involves a document utilized for structuring and communicating organizational objectives that is also applicable in the mitigation of risks and alleviation of potential in legal cases. Since the predicament is affiliated with the emergency care clinic applicable in the treatment of patients with trauma-related injuries, the UCCO is necessary in making certain that the medium selected for communication is significant in maintaining crucial information concerning the patient (Andress & Cerrato, 2016).
Ethical and Professional Factors of Using Social Media
Using social media within the health care setting is likely to raise several issues affecting professionalism. For instance, the physicians may encounter problems associated with privacy and confidentiality because social media jeopardizes professional boundaries. The boundaries are necessary because they ensure there is no miscommunication that may lead to inappropriate information about a patient getting to unauthorized or the wrong person (Andress & Cerrato, 2016). Maintaining the integrity and accountability of professional health care workers is an important quality supported by the ethical factors restraining them from using social media platforms when on duty.
The reactions to the case were purely unethical because ethical expectations include responsibility of healthcare professionals to the public, the profession, and the employers. Healthcare experts have to be actively engaged in educating, promoting, activities supporting maintenance, and enhancing the health status of patients (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2018). The responsibility for upholding professional behavior is a significant method of embracing accountability to the profession because it entails supporting the reputation of their practices. Procedures involved in protecting patient information consist of carrying out research that aims at harm and preservation of their rights as an essential element under ethical research.
Confidentiality in the case provided involves safeguarding the information collected through context about a patient that entails addressing the issue of maintaining the details exchanged from a physician to patient relationship. The essence of confidentiality is to prevent physicians from instances whereby they disclose information shared they have regarding a patient. Security is crucial because it is procedural as well as technical measure necessary for prevention of unauthorized access modification, use, in addition to dissemination of the details stored in computer-developed application. Efficiency in communication is essential because it enhances the quality of care, an enhanced autonomy, in addition to prevents economic harm.

Impact of Diversity and Inclusion on Management
Change management refers to methods and styles in which a company illustrates and implements change within its external and internal processes. A well-structured approach for change is crucial to ensure a meaningful transition and reduce the effects of disruption. Change management is affected by various factors including diversity and inclusion. Diversity is a social activity that involves understanding that each individual is different from any other. Diversity can be classified in the dimensions of race, sex, ethnicity, age among others. Inclusion is also a social aspect that involves creating an equitable working work environment where all workers are treated fairly and respectfully.
