World Religions That Share Common Attributes
Three World Religions That Share Common Attributes
1. Christianity: Christianity is a monotheistic religion based on Jesus Christ’s teachings. Christians believe there is just one God responsible for the creation of the earth and all its inhabitants. They also believe that God brought Jesus to earth to save people from the consequences of their sins.
2. Judaism is a monotheistic religion founded on the Hebrew Bible’s teachings. Judaism is the third religion on our list. Jews have a monotheistic religion and believe that only one God created the world and everything in it. They also believe that God gave humanity the Torah, the Jewish holy book, to guide humanity in the right direction.
3. Islam: Like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is a monotheistic religion that originated in Arabia and was founded on the teachings of Muhammad. Muslims are monotheists who believe only one God liable for the formation of the world and everything that exists in it. They also think God brought Muhammad on earth to lead people in the proper direction and show them the way.
Christianity, Islam, and Judaism are the three religions with the most significant global adherents. Each has billions of followers, and their tenets are followed in every region of the world. There are a lot of parallels between these religions, but some key distinctions must be made.
These three faiths share a few core beliefs and practices in common. To begin, all of these religions are monotheistic, which means that they acknowledge only a single deity. Second, all of them believe that God inspired the sacred writings of their distinct faiths. Last but not least, every one of them thinks that God was the creator of the world and all of its components.
Eliza Rosenburg’s Chapter 8 Religion and Culture is a perfect resource for my topic. All three religions I chose are mentioned in this resource and similarities between them are also noted. For example, she says that christians, jews, and muslims all have foods that cannot be consumed by followers of the religions. This instance, amongst many others, is why I deem this resource valuable for my assignment.

Include the following:
An introductory paragraph that identifies the Humanities field chose by the above examples and explains why this field is interesting.
Descriptions of each example that include the following information, as appropriate.
The example’s title and its author, creator, or artist’s full name.
Some historical and cultural contexts for the example. This might include information about its creator, historical events from the time, and/or some contextual information about the culture.
An explanation of what the above three examples have in common and how they are different based on a detailed analysis of the examples to show how you came to this conclusion. In your analysis, you should:
Use at least one of the resources in the classroom that is directly related to the Humanities field your paper focuses on. For instance, if you are comparing three poems, ensure that your resource(s) from the classroom is about analyzing literature.
Rely on at least two of the terms or interpretative methods from the classroom resource(s) in your analysis of the examples. For example, if you are looking at three poems, you could use metaphor and rhyme scheme.
Underline or bold the terms or methods of interpretation from the class you use in your paper.
Explain the terms or methods before or as you use them.
Provide specifics from your examples that you are analyzing using the terms or methods. For instance, if you are looking at three poems, you should quote the lines you analyze (not the whole poem). If you are looking at three paintings, you should describe what you are analyzing, or you could even use images overlaid with arrows to help illustrate your points.
A concluding paragraph that offers some summative concluding remarks about what you learned about all three of the cultures your examples were from through comparing and contrasting your three examples. Did you learn that all three of these cultures express similar sentiments about parenting, for example? Did you learn that the attitude towards colonization was different in Spain, Africa and South America? Think about how your examples informed you about the similarities and the differences between humans from the cultures you covered.
