an impact on Driving While Intoxicated arrests

impact on other illicit drug use/arrests

an illegal marijuana drug market resulted from legalization of Cannabis

negative effects on youth due to legalization of Cannabis

increase of mental health disorders, particularly schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders

increased probability and frequency of youth as well as abuse/dependence.

Choose one of the above negative consequences (or submit a possible topic to your professor for approval), and in an eight to ten page paper, address the following:

Provide an overview of the phenomenon. Be certain to include official data, statistics, etc. to provide perspective of the problem. If there have been implications in New Jersey, please be certain to provide the details and specifics relevant to the state. If it has not yet manifested itself in New Jersey, what are the potential impacts?

Indicate all of the stakeholders impacted by the phenomenon. Detail how each is impacted as well as the consequences of the same.

Make evidence based recommendations to mitigate (or if possible eliminate) the negative consequences.
