Counter argument: women have plenty of opportunities for education,employment and leadership position; they just tend to be underrepresented in certain fields.

Response: the lack of representation of women in certain fields does not necessarily equate to equal opportunities. There are a number of social ,cultural, and economic barriers to women’s advancement that men do not face. In addition, research has consistently demonstrated that women receive lower pay for the same jobs.
