The book is sting by Jude Watson Write a letter to the author of your book explaining your reading experience. The letter should be formal and polite. You may either type your letter in a Google doc, or you may write it neatly and use colors and pictures to support your thoughts and questions. You may even decide to make a video for your author. Be creative! Your letter should include why you think the author wrote this story, who you think the intended audience was, what you identified the theme to be and how you think the author developed that theme (was it mostly through setting, through conflict, through characterization, etc.?), and whether or not you would recommend this book to someone else (to whom and why?). You may also ask questions. When mentioning the theme, provide 2—3 direct quotes that best support the theme. Use the one pager project as an lexample. Example of formal writing: Dear Mr. Gaiman, My name is Mikayla, and I am writing to you after reading your book, Coraline. I enjoyed the story, and I want to share with you my reading experience. Even though I think this book was mostly written for younger kids in elementary and middle school, I was still able to apply the story to my own life because of my love for Gothic and horror stories.
